Isomalto-oligosaccharidesare glucose oligomers with a-D-(1,6)and a-(1,4)-linkages, including isomaltose, panose, isomaltotriose, isomaltopentose and higher branched oligosaccharides. The majority of oligosaccharides found in IMO consist of 3 to7 monosaccharide units linked together; however, disaccharides, as well as longeroligosaccharides(upto9units)are also present. The disaccharide fraction of IMO consists ofa-(1,4)-glycosidic bond linkedmaltose anda-D-(1,6)-glycosidic bond linked isomaltose, while maltotriosepanoseand isomaltotriose make up the trisaccharide fraction. Maltotetraose maltopentaose, maltohexaose, maltoheptaose, and small amounts of oligomers with 8 or highen degrees ofpolymerization(DP)comprise the remaining oligomers in the product.
IMO Properties:
1.Sweetness 40-60% sucrose, Solubility ≥99%, low glycemic index(GI)
2.Water activity 0.75, viscosity same as sucrose, good heat & PH stability
3.Moistening intestines and relieving constipation
4.Regulating intestinal flora, prevent the growth of harmful bacteria,
5.Improve mineral absorption, such as VD, Fe & Ca.
6.Reducing cholesterol content and preventing hypertension
7.Enhancing immunity
8.Tooth Friendly and anti-crystallization
9.Extend shelf life. (Organic,NON-GMO,Halal,Kosher,MUI)
IMO Function:
1.Isomaltooligosaccharide Provides nutrients and stimulates the growth of friendly bacteria, (particularly the Bifidus species)that are
living naturally in the gastrointestinal tract.Increase the friendly bacteria colony and its ratio, then Protect the liver.
2.IMO Is not digestible and hardly converts to calorie. lt will not cause qlucose content to rise inthebloodmaking it suitable for diabetic
patient and people on diet.
3. Isomalto oligosaccharide Restores microflora balance.
Application: Ice cream, Chocolate, Protein Bars, Dairy ,Bakery, Confectionery, Gummy, Pastry, Beverage, Health care products and Feed additives.
